I read the new version of WordPress has a new dashboard that makes it easier to edit my WP site plus a gallery feature allowing me to upload all my pictures at once giving them each their own page…man,I would really like to use it,but I’m having a seriously hard time uploading WordPress2.5.
I tried using the WordPressUpdate plugin, but keep getting this error:
Warning: main(lib/pclzip.lib.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/marketse/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wpau_helper.class.php on line 11
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘lib/pclzip.lib.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/marketse/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wpau_helper.class.php on line 11
Uploading WP is NOT supposed to be difficult and according to others it’s a pretty smoothe process. In fact,my initial installation of WP was effortless, yet I’m having extreme trouble with this upgrade stuff and waiting on the forums to provide help is like watching grass grow. Out of all the upgrades that have come along…why haven’t they simply installed an AUTOMATIC UPGRADER into the core WordPress system???
I’m starting to wonder is this upgrade really needed especially after reading the latest Rosenthal post.

Just wanted to say “Hi” and thanks for the visit-and the humor. Congrats on having a great looking site. I’ve still working out a few rough spots myself. Seems like you’re having a little trouble with WP, but even with the trouble it’s still the best and most powerful-and that price can’t be beat. Wish I knew php and could over more insight than the old “deactivate all the plugins and try it that way…”
You’re much further along in this game than I am, so what you’re doing is inspirational, man.
Thanks again

Thanx for the comment. Your site is great as well and isn’t exactly what I’d call “whack”…you’re much further along than you think! Keep making inticing posts and don’t change the color scheme because it seems to fit you.
Php is not my strongpoint…I simply learn the basic things I need to know and immediately apply it.
And you’re right…the WP price just can’t be beat. For more inspiration get subscribed and stay subscribed.

Great site. I use the update plugin and it works for me but I have no idea why. I only know enough to do what I need to do. That is what is so good about freelance coders. I don’t have to know how unless it is broken.
I agree WordPress should add an automatic updater as fast as they come out with updates.
Thanks

They have it now, Bo.

Yeah, but Jeeez! We were talking about this a year ago and it took forever for this to happen.
Anyway I’ve got the plugin still running, so I guess it’s time to “deactivate” and let the auto takeover…

Dave, where the h@#l have you been, man???

Hahahahaha!
I said a little bit about it on your comments over at my site, but you know what man? I fell down the money hole.
Seriously last year I cracked the hundred dollar a day code with adsense. Then lost my account because a “friend” blogger was clicking on my ads to “help” me. But I didn’t find out till he confessed a few months after the thing with google. So I got turned off from hanging with bloggers so I went back to flipping houses (buy houses, fix them, sell them).
Around Oct/Nov I got into adsense again and started making money, but for 2009 decided to really attack affiliate marketing because last year you said it was such a good thing-so that’s what I do. I READ a lot at people’s sites, but don’t do a lot of commenting anymore. So I’m out here-just quietly making money…..
