While checking out who’s blogging what over at Digg I came across a relevant post that highlights 11 basic mistakes aspiring bloggers tend to make.

Although I’m a bit guilty of the fourth mistake, the sixth one which deals with “hiding your best work” is one I haven’t put much thought into.

You see,I’ve written posts that I know is NOT on other blogs containing information that would very well catapult any aspiring netrepreneur to the next level. Sure I’d get a few visitors along with a few comments depending on how the traffic flowed that day,yet that post just wouldn’t go as ‘viral’ as I thought it should. Well exactly how viral do I think its supposed to go? It should spread about as fast as aids, herpes, the flu, and the ebola virus all put together! Days and weeks would go by and I still wouldn’t see the general blogoshere hitting on the issues I postsed back in the day,so I go through my archives and sulk mostly because those posts were MUST READ items developed to help…but how can it help somebody if not enough bodies are noticing it?

Little did I know BigWebMarketing already had a solution for this: create an area on your blog devoted to the best posts you ever wrote so visitors will always see what you -the author- feels is the most useful. In recognition of this solution from now on you’ll notice a section in my sidebar entitled ‘Top Secrets’ where my personal favorite posts will rotate.

Publisher’s Note: This post further proves once again that No Man Is An Island and that we as internet marketers who use the blogging platform must interact with each other’s blogs in order to add to the whole learning experience of internet marketing.
