just like most social networks out there, and for that reason they are a web magnet that pulls million of new members every week, and that’s why marketers, online consumers and the bad spammers know that they can use it to engage with a lot of people in a short period of time. Specially in the Twitterverse, where the communication happens a little bit faster than other community sites.

The problem that comes when using Twitter for marketing is not the service, the problem are spammers, beginners that spam because they don’t know better, and also getting advice from the wrong websites.

Strategies that work.

Here I collected 10 step by step marketing tactics and tips other marketers and I use to market ethically on Twitter and get positive results:

1. Posting famous quotes without linking to an affiliate or you own product page, which in most cases is also completely irrelevant to the quote content. So avoid adding links to quotes or tips because this is actually a little bit upsetting.

2. If you want to recommend a book on Amazon using your affiliate link, make sure to write a small book review or about line, this will let your followers know your thoughts about it and what they can expect when clicking on the link. Don’t use tweets like (I’m reading “book title”) and then just link directly to your Amazon or other merchant affiliate link, because it will make you loose a lot of followers. A better way to it’s to write a review post or article and tweet the title and link of the article, this techniques works even better and have more possibilities.

3. Every time you tweet a link make sure to include a title or description of it to increase click-through and retweets. Another very wrong way to tweet you should avoid is posting a link all by itself… Thinking this curiosity tactic will increase click-through, well you are wrong. Tweeple (people using the twit service) don’t click on stand along links, because of fear to be direct to a virus loading site or simple because it can be a waste of their time. Plus, now the new Twitter platform is showing the real link behind short URLs.

4. Remember to post regularly on your blog and connected with your Twitter account by using a service like TwitterFeeds or SocialHoomph. This type of apps will update your profile every time you post new content on you site or blog. So, by all means don’t use lame call to action like “visit my site or blog”… This may work if everyone using the service is a prekindergarten student. But, they’re not! What you can do is write an intro like ‘New blog post:’ before the title of your content.

5. If you are looking to do a promotion campaign or your product or an affiliate products, use your creativity to come out with ways to do it without linking directly to the order page, and if you have to link directly make sure the offer is proper set up so you don’t loose follower in the process. You can do this by giving a VIP coupon code or discount for follower only, write a series of training articles or blog post about a problem in niche and recommend the product as the best solution, also you can create videos and tweet the link to it, another great way is to offer a free report or ebook to get email leads and then follow up with promotional email. Just avoid tweeting ads with links to your own products or affiliate links, is another mistake you should stay away from! There is a way to post promotions and direct marketing campaigns aren’t the one.

6. Become part of the very popular conversations and Twitter events by using famous hashtags (tagging system for the Twitterverse) to engage with your follower and maybe even get new ones in the process. Some of the most common events are #musicmonday to share what are you listening to, #FollowFriday to recommend your friends to your followers, etc.. Don’t use popular product hashtags like #musicmonday to send links to a store sale page. Most of the time this type of hashtags are created so tweeple can share their opinions about an item or topic, and in the case of “Music Monday” is to share what you are listening on the moment or what songs you like, with a link to song or to a video clip, not a sales page.

7. Don’t limit yourself by posting a good promotion just once, but don’t do tweet it more than 3 times. Three times works great because you can send it in the morning, then a reminder in the afternoon, and another one at night with a notice about the expiration of it. Remember that posting the same promotion over and over and over and over and over again, can turn off people, is upsetting, is boring, is pathetic, and it doesn’t work… You will kill the value of your offer by using this technique.

8. Like I said before you need to your imagination to come out with different promotion or offers, never over send the same offer every day or week, even if the offer was a success, always have a few different type of campaigns that you can put together at once per week or twice per month, whatever works better for you. Don’t forget that tweeting different ad promos for the same product or service everyday is a huge mistake that can get you from hero to zero followers.

9. To get increase followers be a good social media user, by making sure each tweet has a good value to your followers. Post content relevant to your niche this way you will get targeted follower not just anyone. Also, make sure to follow to performance in your market this way you can start making connections. Don’t follow every single tweeple you see without any direction or marketing focus. Follow only those you are interested about and those users that have same interest as yours or match your market focus.

10. Automate you account with the same tools I mention before, but to keep your account really active you need to engage in constant conversations and interact with your followers all the time on a daily basics. Don’t put your account settings and tweets in completely autopilot. Having your tweets automated it’s great to save time. But, if you don’t interact your follwers will notice and they are going to unfollow you.

Is Autopilot Income Machines a scam or is it real?

Well I decided to get past my normal skepticism and gave it a shot..

Rasheed Ali and Huey Lee seem like pretty nice and straight forward guys, but like most people I’ve been fooled before. So I conducted a somewhat biased experiment to see if Autopilot Income Machines could really make me money online, leaving no stone unturned.
Before I get to what I did, let me give you the run down of what’s in the program so you can get a better idea about it. Basically the program is a pretty comprehensive video training course complete with transcripts for those who like to read over watch video. It takes you through the simple technical skills you need to learn (this is very fast by the way) and then shows you how to take what Rasheed and Huey call “money pages” and get them online and ready to make you money.

That’s all great and everything but SO WHAT – right? Not so fast! The Autopilot Income Machines program then shows you some pretty neat and completely safe, free traffic tactics to get you ranked on the first page of freakin’ Google! Okay, that is where I thought they were full of crap, BUT after I saw the evidence I had to basically shut up and do it for myself. The course also goes into some advanced strategies, gives you a free software that sets up some of your pages for you and some other cool stuff that NO sane internet guru gives away for less than $997.

Truth is, I think these guys got knocked in the head in one too many street fights. Oh, forgot to mention that Rasheed is a former homeless guy and Huey grew up in a low income family so they’re a little out of the ordinary if you know what I mean.

Anyway, let’s talk about my devious and biased experiment. You see, the first half of the program wasn’t new to me. I know that stuff already. The second half of the program was what I loved the most… besides the advanced stuff. (WOW!) So I decided that I’d set up my OWN money page and throw a wrench in the program to see what happens. I followed the free traffic strategies to the tee and actually made a few sales!

All in all my conclusion is pretty clear. Autopilot Income Machines isn’t the prettiest or shiniest program out there, BUT what it lacks in guru hype, it makes up for in PURE RESULTS! I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend you pay close attention to every word Rasheed Ali and Huey Lee say. These guys deliver the goods and truly knocked it out of the park on this one! I give it my full 5 star rating. It’s a no brainer to put this into your money making arsenal. Most guys are just smoke and mirrors, but these guys are the REAL DEAL.

Using Facebook fanpages as a platform to engage customers and create a following for my business has been really successful. They have proven to be an easy and natural way to build a following for me. Here are some reasons why using well constructed fanpages can be of benefit to your business:
