Blog And Site Promotion

At the first I would like to tell you my friends that I am not an expert.I have learnt a lot from self experience.I did research,read some articles and mixed my ides with those I read.I believe that one can learn from his/her mistakes.I did a lot of mistakes in the past.I am still in infant stage and still learning.The secret is that learn what is good for your site/blog and avoid making mistakes that can have adverse effect.

If you have a blog/site then don’t just sit and wait for visitors to come.Come forward and start to promote yourself.Where to promote? There are many places where you can promote and get some unique visitors.Remember it needs a lot of effort,patience because it is very time consuming.

Places where you can promote:
1)Mybloglog:It is an online community consisting of more than four hundred thousands blog communities.Myblog is a free service from Yahoo.Memebership is free of charge.You will need a yahoo account for registration.All registered members can add their blogs by installing a small html code in your site/blog.After installing your site/blog will be activated and included.There are other widgets that can be also installed and track your daily visitors.You can create a community for each and every submitted site/blog.Thus enables you to spread your words.Myblog is a place for getting unique visitors and most of them retun to read your updated contents.

2)Blogcatalog:This is another community that is similar to mybloglog.The only difference is that your submitted site/blog will be reviewed by the administrator.Sites/blogs that mmet their criteria will be included.Blogcatalog is also one of the largest blog directory on the net.Blogcatalog also provides many free widgets for blogs.Just install and keep tracking of your readers.Ohh.. registration is free.

Some tips for getting visitors from these two sites:
1)The most important thing is to popularise yourself.Make as many friends as you can.Networking is the key to success.
2)Post private messages to other members.Just an introduction.Most of them will reply you back.
3)Create community and put your blog/site that you want to promote as your signature.
4)Now search members who have similar interests with you.Add them and do what I mentioned at 2.
5)Invite your added friends now to join your community by sending a friendly message.
6)Join communities of your interest.Be active there.
7)Visit sites/blogs of your added friends and post comments in their profile about what you think about their blog/site.If possible share some ideas.

Be careful do not overpromote.Overpromotion can be regarded as a spam.Most of the members do it.Remember if you have something important to deliver,your readers will come back to get more.

So,remember the following:
-overpromotion is bad.
-don not ask others to visit your blog/site.
-don not ask others click on your ads.Most of the members do it.If you get such messages better you stop communication with that member.Why?The clicks what you will get is not regarded as unique.Then your publisher account will be in trouble.
-always update your community by posting some important news,events.That means engage your readers.
These are some simple tips and the results may vary.
